Russell Westbrook "own(s) the chaos" on the court, bringing together apparently disparate aspects of his game into a single, concise, confident move. The same is true with the "Why Not Zero 2" sneakers. We wanted the sound design to pay homage to the same things; embodying chaos, energy, dynamism, strength and creativity. The sound brings together a number of on-court sounds, building up to a climax of stillness and calm before exploding with frenetic speed and energy, creating the desired effect of both chaos and ultimate control. Everything is fast and upbeat; targeting an audience who were youthful, athletic & quick-moving and who have bold aspirations on the court and in the street. We created a metaphor for Westbrook's game, with frenetic sound design, bold electronic manipulations and impact hits and beats, underpinned with precision and control
