This animation was made for Anymotion, the biggest motion graphics event in Latin America. It happened at São Paulo, Brazil last November, and gathered professionals from all kinds of technical and cultural backgrounds.
We wanted to value the professionals of the area by showcasing them as heroes, so our main idea was to create an opening animation of a fictional series called Anymotion where five Motion Graphic heroes fight against their day-to-day challenges to deliver exceptional projects. Each hero is related to a specific area of motion (3D, 2D, Cel Animation, VFX, Editing), and both the challenges and villains are related to common hurdles like dealing with procrastination, hardware problems and faulty software.
The animation features a mix of 2D, 3D and cel animation and both its narrative and music are inspired by the unique openings of Japanese animations.
