This piece seamlessly uses musical instruments as sound design with fun and unravelling energy. Articulating the magical furniture movements and adjustments, they bend, pluck and drum in sync with the motion moves and edits. The most interesting thing about the project and inception is that we started working on the sound design to a locked edit. This is usually restrictive but we used this limitation to form the sound design structure which at times gives it that slightly quirky unusual gait/feel. Adding real world foley and interesting electronic sound textures in harmony with the musical sound design, elevates the piece from a simple sound or music edit to a really interesting fluid piece of motion driven sound design.
